Privacy Policy

What we collect

You give us

• Name, email, and messages when you write us or book a call (Calendly)
• Permission to record any verbal communication regarding business matters
• Account email and credentials if you sign up for members or a product — always encrypted
• Project files, recordings, PDFs, and other materials you upload so we can do the work (E-Clips jobs, DocuSaurus packets, anything you send for a consulting engagement)
• Wallet addresses, if you connect a wallet for token-gated access
• Payment details are handled by our processor (currently Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.

We collect automatically

• Basic server logs: IP address, browser, pages hit, timestamps (hosting is Vercel and our own servers)
• Cookies or similar needed to keep you logged in, and any cookies affiliates set after you click those links (Amazon, ExpressVPN, and the others listed on Affiliate Disclosure)

We do not run a secret dossier. We do not sell your data. We will not sell your data. We do not buy marketing lists to spam you.

What we use it for

• To answer you, book time, and do the work you asked for
• To run members, E-Clips, and other product accounts, including token-gate checks
• To keep the lights on, debug, and stop abuse
• To invoice you
• To comply with law if we are actually required to

Uploaded media and documents are for your job. We do not train public models on your recordings or packets. We do not put client files in a demo reel without asking.

How we protect it

Access to your data is on a need-to-do-the-job basis, connections are encrypted in transit, and we lean on reputable providers instead of rolling our own. We are a small Michigan shop, so this is honest effort and sensible defaults, not a bank vault. No system is unbreakable, and we will not pretend otherwise. If something goes wrong on our end, we will communicate the effects to the appropriate people in a professional and timely manner.

Who else sees it

Only what that job requires:

• Hosting / email / calendar: Vercel, Digital Ocean, Microsoft 365 (Exchange), Calendly
• Payments: Stripe, when you pay us
• Affiliates: if you click those links, that company’s privacy policy applies on their site.
• Contractors / partners we bring onto a project, under the same “don’t be weird with client files” rule we use ourselves

We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.

How long we keep it

• Email and project files: as long as the engagement and a reasonable archive after, unless you ask us to delete and we are not required to keep it (however, that can make future support cases more difficult)
• E-Clips jobs: until you delete them or we apply the retention policy on that worker
• Account data: until you close the account, or the internet goes dark
• Logs: a short window, then they rotate, that’s how we keep you logged in

Your choices

Email info@gecoveau.com to see, correct, or delete what we have on you. We will do it unless we have to keep a record (invoices, fraud, a legal hold).

You can refuse cookies in your browser. The site may get less convenient. The members area will not work without a session. If you are visiting from the EU or UK, where the law wants an explicit opt-in before non-essential cookies (the affiliate ones) are set, assume a consent banner is on the roadmap; until then, your browser controls are the switch.

If you are in a place with extra rights (California, GDPR, and so on), ask. We will honor the ones that apply. We are a small Michigan shop, not a surveillance company. #NoFlockShop

Children

This site is for professional business transactions and usage of online apps, products, and services. This site is not for children under 18. Do not create an account for them.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that actually matters, we will update the date at the top. Keep using the site after that and you are on the new version.
